I know, there’s something wrong about making anything that is intended to be eaten frozen at this time of year in Michigan. But for some unknown reason, this just popped into my head…so I had to whip it up! Strawberries are hands down my favorite fruit. Unfortunately, the ones in the stores right now are less than stellar. While I know this, I get sucked into buying them anyway. This last batch of berries I bought were looking sad and soft, but the flavor was good. So, I gave them a purpose with this little treat. I love it because it’s low in sugar, high in protein, and of course, has dark chocolate! It turned out just how I was hoping it would. I hope you enjoy it as well!

Recipe

About 20 strawberries, fresh or frozen

1 Cup of protein nut milk, I like Silk

1 5.3oz cup of unsweetened vanilla high protein yogurt, I like Kite Hill

1 Scoop vanilla plant protein powder

1 Tablespoon Raw Cacao Powder

1/3 Cup of dark chocolate chips

Please note…this is NOT super sweet! If you want a sweeter treat you must add in a little sweetener of your choice!

Place all ingredients in blender. Pulse until desired smoothness. Place in covered container in freezer. Freeze for about 2-3 hours, until semi-solid. Do not freeze solid…you will not be able to spoon out. Enjoy!
